Ashlyn Taylor is the Director of Ashlyn Taylor Hair Co., specialising in luxury hair extensions and bespoke colour transformations. With a particular passion for blondes, Ashlyn combines colour and extensions to create seamless, dimensional results tailored to each client. As a Hair Candy Australia educator, she shares her expertise in extension application, colour and salon content creation, helping stylists refine their skills and confidently elevate their salon services.
Paris Melrose is the Director of Hair & Halo Studio in Bendigo, Victoria, and a specialist in luxury hair extensions. Known for her seamless transformations and attention to detail, Paris combines extensive salon experience with a passion for education and industry growth. As a Hair Candy Australia educator, she helps stylists refine their techniques, build confidence and develop the skills and business knowledge to achieve exceptional results and long-term success.
Tenyka Rowe is the Manager of Hair Candy Varsity Salon, bringing over a decade of industry experience across hair extensions, salon leadership and education. Specialising in seamless, high-impact transformations, she combines technical precision with a passion for helping stylists succeed. EDUCATION FAQs
Where do we offer education?
We travel to locations across Australia to bring Hair Candy education closer to you, with classes in various cities and regional locations throughout the year.
For private training, we can travel Australia-wide to deliver education directly to your salon, making it easier for you and your team to train together in your own space.

Do we offer payment plans?
Yes! We offer flexible payment options to help make your education more accessible.
You can choose Afterpay at checkout, allowing you to split your purchase into four interest-free payments, subject to Afterpay’s eligibility criteria and terms.
Alternatively, you can secure your place with a deposit and pay the remaining balance at least one month before your class. To arrange this option, simply contact our Education Team, who will organise and send your deposit invoice directly.
Both options make it easier to plan ahead and invest in your skills and future with Hair Candy Australia.

Do you have to be a hairdresser to do our education?
A hairdressing background is beneficial, as it gives you a foundation in hair, colour and client consultations, helping you get even more out of your training. However, it isn't a requirement for all of our education.
Our courses are designed to help you build your knowledge and skills, with different pathways available depending on your experience and goals. If you're new to the industry or looking to expand your skills, our team can help you find the right training to get started.
Does the education include a certificate?
Yes! All of our education includes either a Certificate of Attendance or a Certificate of Completion, depending on the class. It's a great way to recognise your commitment to learning and developing your skills with Hair Candy Australia.
What methods do we teach?
We offer education across four hair extension methods, as well as Mixed Method training, giving you the skills to create customised results for different clients, hair types and desired looks.
- Air Weft (Invisible Bead Method): The most discreet, lightweight weft method designed to create a seamless finish with no visible attachment points.
- Flat Track Weft: A technique that creates a flat, secure foundation for weft extensions, allowing for a natural-looking result that sits comfortably against the head and works well for clients that need more durability.
- Keratin Bonds: Individual strand extensions attached using keratin bonds, allowing for customised placement, natural movement and flexibility when styling.
- Invisible Tapes: Tape-in extensions featuring discreet, ultra-thin attachments designed to sit flat against the head for a seamless, natural-looking finish.
- Mixed Method: Learn how to combine different extension methods within one installation to customise placement, achieve a seamless blend and create the best result for each client's hair and goals.
What happens after you book your training?
Once your booking is confirmed, you'll receive the relevant information to help you prepare for your class. Depending on your course, this may include pre-training resources, details on what to bring and your Hair Candy education kit, if one is included in your booking. If your kit is being sent out before your class, we'll arrange delivery so you have everything you need to get started.

Do you need to complete anything before attending a class?
Any pre-training requirements or preparation will be outlined in the communication you receive from our Education Team before your class. This may include online learning, resources to review or anything else you need to prepare. We'll make sure you know what's required ahead of time so you can arrive feeling prepared and get the most out of your training.
Do you need to organise your own model for training?
No, we organise the models for you! For our Look & Learn sessions, models are provided for educator demonstrations. During our Masterclasses, students share a model that we organise for their practical training, allowing you to learn alongside other stylists. Private training is generally completed on mannequins, giving you the opportunity to focus on refining your technique with guidance from your educator.
Do you need to bring your own mannequin and tools to a class?
We provide mannequins for you to use during your training, so there's no need to bring your own. Any specific requirements regarding tools or other items you'll need for your class will be outlined in the communication you receive from our Education Team before your training.
Will you be ready to start offering hair extensions after your training?
This will depend on your existing experience, the training you complete and how confident you feel applying what you've learnt. Our education is designed to give you the knowledge, techniques and guidance to build your skills, but like any new skill, practice is key.
We also offer online course access with selected training packages, allowing you to revisit techniques and refer back to your learning as you continue practising after your class. This ongoing resource can help you refine your skills and build confidence as you work towards offering hair extensions to your clients.
